Stuart McIntyre is a director known for his reverent and energetic storytelling. He began his career as an award-winning editor at Bijou Editorial, the post-production company he founded in 2004. After overcoming kidney failure and receiving a life-changing transplant from his brother in 2010, Stuart left editing to pursue directing full-time.

With a keen eye shaped by his editing background, he quickly gained recognition for his work with talents like Jamie Foxx, Lionel Messi, and Naomi Osaka, and brands such as Louis Vuitton, Apple, and Gatorade. In 2019, he directed his first narrative short Carls Motel, starring Scoot McNairy, which screened at TIFF and other major festivals.

Stuart co-wrote the feature Crosstown, an odyssey across Toronto, set to go into production in winter 2023.
