Brady Corbet

BRADY CORBET is a writer, director, and performer. He made his feature directorial debut in 2015 with The Childhood of a Leader, starring Bérénice Bejo and Robert Pattinson. The film earned widespread critical acclaim and won both the Orizzonti Award for Best Director and the Luigi De Laurentiis Lion of the Future Award for Best Debut Feature at the Venice Film Festival. Before that, Corbet directed the short Protect You + Me, which won a prize at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and was shot by renowned cinematographer Darius Khondji.
His second feature, Vox Lux (2018), starring Natalie Portman and Jude Law with original songs by Sia, premiered in competition at the Venice Film Festival and went on to screen at both the Toronto and London film festivals.
Most recently, Corbet directed The Brutalist (2024), starring Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, and Guy Pearce. The film received ten Academy Award nominations and won three — including Best Actor for Brody, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score. It also earned Corbet the 2025 BAFTA Award for Best Director, as well as Golden Globes for Best Director and Best Motion Picture – Drama. Distributed by A24 in the U.S. and Focus Features internationally, the film was met with global critical acclaim.
