Mabrouk El Mechri began his career directing short films in 1998 followed by his first feature, Virgil, in 2005.
He then directed JCVD starring Jean-Claude Van Damme; a historical TV series and a film with Bruce Willis and Sigouney Weaver, ‘The Cold Light of Day’ by the time he was 35, making him the youngest French director working today with such an international reach.
International French director going back and forth between fiction and commercials, he is comfortable with both comedy and action, while keeping a dear eye on art and talent direction.
