Daniels

The Daniels are directors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, currently located in Los Angeles.

The two met while studying 3D animation at Boston's Emerson College, from which they both graduated. Kwan flashed some great animation skills, attracting Scheinert who had been in an improv troupe and made comedy videos. After gaining notice for an online video called "Swingers", the pair directed a homemade music video for Icelandic band FM Belfast, followed by their first major videos for Pigeons and Chromeo.

A two man experimental laboratory they play with concepts such as loss of balance or films within a film, innovating with both form and storytelling. Their first major commercial breakthrough came in the form of break dancing teddy bears for Weetabix, proof that they are able to apply their free spirit and experiments within an advertising context.
